We’re Dennis & Kim Grassick, better known as Big Daddy & Big Block Betty.

We’re the proud hosts of Big Daddy’s Charity Car Show, where polished chrome, vintage flair, and big hearts come together to raise funds for two incredibl e local causes: Lower Similkameen Community Services Society and South Okanagan Women In Need Society.
 

What started as a few hot rods parked on our Maple Ridge street quickly turned into something special. Mix classic cars, vintage culture, a little pin-up sparkle, and a whole lot of community spirit, and boom—fundraising magic was born. Our very first show honoured Dennis’ mom, Shirley, and from there, the engines (and hearts) just kept getting bigger.
 

Now calling Cawston home, this year marks our 10th show, and these gatherings have become less “event” and more family reunion with horsepower. Friends become family, laughter fills the air, and everyone shows up for a great cause.
 

This isn’t your average car show. Expect high energy, personal touches, and an atmosphere that feels more backyard bash than roped-off parking lot. We’re thrilled to once again team up with the Rodeo Association, whose support and venue help us grow the show while lifting up another cornerstone of the community.
 

Thanks to our amazing supporters—friends, family, local businesses, and generous sponsors—we’ve raised over $118,000 to date. Everything is donated pro-bono, so more dollars go where they matter most. Huge shout-outs to the Wheelbarrow Foundation, Dutchies Transfer Ltd., and the Great Big Red Barn Foundation for helping supercharge our fundraising year after year.
 

Bottom line?
